Reflecting Northern Interests

With only two constituencies covering the whole of northern Saskatchewan, picking an elected representative takes on added significance.

As the parties battle it out in what has long been an NDP stronghold, the June 25 Cumberland byelection is being framed around the question of who best can represent northern interests while fighting for needed road, housing and infrastructure development and job training.

Nuclear PR Campaign Begins

Bruce Power announced they will begin conducting a feasibility study for the development of a nuclear reactor in Saskatchewan, stating nuclear power is clean, affordable, and reliable.  On the same day, Atomic Energy Canada Ltd. addressed the Regina Chamber of Commerce promoting nuclear energy. 

Saskatchewan Should Join Ontario and Quebec in Emerging Cap and Trade Negotiating System

Saskatchewan is emitting more greenhouse gas emissions per capita than any other province in Canada, according to a 2005 report put out by the David Suzuki Foundation.
